Overview
Costa Teguise is a planned resort a short drive from Lanzarote’s capital, Arrecife, laid out with wide streets and low-rise buildings rather than a dense strip. It’s well known among windsurfers and kitesurfers thanks to consistent winds along this stretch of coast, and generally has a quieter feel than Puerto del Carmen.
Families & toddlers
Playa de las Cucharas and Playa del Jablillo are decent family beaches, and the resort has an aquarium and a water park nearby (Aqualava) for an easy change of pace from the beach.
Couples, teens & nightlife
A modest, low-key evening scene compared with Puerto del Carmen — pleasant enough restaurants and bars, but this resort is really built around daytime watersports rather than nightlife, which suits couples and families after a quieter base.
Seniors & accessibility
Wide, flat streets and a spread-out layout make it easy enough to get around, though its more spacious design means slightly longer walks between beach, shops and restaurants than in the older, denser resorts.
Best time to visit
Consistently windy (part of its watersports appeal) and mild year-round, in keeping with Lanzarote generally.
