Jávea (Xàbia) is a more upmarket, low-rise alternative to the Costa Blanca’s bigger resorts, split between a historic old town, a working port, and a beach area, with dramatic cliffs and small coves along its coastline.
Families & toddlers
The Arenal beach area is sandy and family-friendly with a good promenade, while the rockier coves further round the coast suit older children keen on snorkelling and exploring rather than toddlers.
Couples, teens & nightlife
A relaxed, quality-over-quantity restaurant scene rather than a nightlife strip — Jávea has a reputation for good local dining, well suited to couples wanting a calmer, more refined evening.
Seniors & accessibility
The Arenal seafront is flat and pleasant; the old town and port areas involve a bit more walking on varied terrain, but overall this is a comfortable, unhurried resort for older visitors.
