Palmanova

Resort GuidesSpain › Mallorca

Magaluf’s calmer neighbour — the same good beach, a much quieter evening.

Palmanova

Overview

Palmanova sits right next to Magaluf but has a noticeably calmer, more family-oriented feel, with a wide, sheltered bay beach and a more mixed-age crowd of hotels and apartments.

Families & toddlers

The beach is broad and calm, well suited to younger children, and the resort’s promenade has a good range of family restaurants without the intensity of Magaluf’s strip next door.

Couples, teens & nightlife

A relaxed, pleasant evening scene — restaurants and bars rather than clubs — with Magaluf’s nightlife only a short walk away for anyone who wants both in one trip.

Seniors & accessibility

Flat, easy walking along the bay and a generally calm pace make this a comfortable base for older visitors who still want to be close to Palma and the airport.

Best time to visit

May to October for the beach; close enough to Palma for a good shoulder-season city-and-beach combination too.
