Home of the famous sunset strip — and a real family side away from it.

San Antonio

Overview

San Antonio (Sant Antoni) is Ibiza’s second-largest town, internationally known for its Café del Mar-style sunset strip along the bay and its historic links to the island’s superclub scene. Away from that strip, it also has a working marina, an old town core and quieter family areas.

Families & toddlers

The bay itself is calm and family hotels sit along both ends of it, away from the sunset-strip crowds — this resort genuinely splits into distinct family and nightlife zones, so it’s worth being specific about which end you book.

Couples, teens & nightlife

The sunset strip is a real Ibiza institution — watching the sun go down with a drink in hand — and the town has easy access to some of the island’s best-known clubs, making it one of the most famous nightlife bases in Europe for young adults and couples alike.

Seniors & accessibility

The old town and marina areas are calmer and more manageable than the sunset strip itself; choosing a quieter part of the bay makes this workable for less nightlife-focused older visitors too.

Best time to visit

May to October for the beach and the sunset scene; the club season runs roughly June to September.
